Níjar Village

Villa de Níjar
Níjar is the oldest village in the area. It is famous for its pottery, rag rugs and esparto grass. In Níjar you can find a typical Andalusian village with white houses and narrow streets. There is no better place to enjoy nature than the excursion to Huebro from Níjar.

El Hoyazo de Níjar

If I were you I would visit the Isabel II reservoir and the Granatilla volcano. The Santa María Church, Atalaya tower, Water Museum, pottery and craftmen area are a must. Your best option is the CAE(arts scenic center), if you are looking for entertaiment, where you can see different shows.

I would recommend going out with your friends in the different pubs, for having something to drink and dancing. You can find a lot of shop on the main street called Federico García Lorca.

In Níjar there aren´t luxury hotels, you can find accommodation in many hostels or rural guest houses. You can find many restaurants, a chemist, a hospital, police station, petrol station, the town hall, several banks, post office, public parkings and if I were you I would go to the flea market on Wednesdays.
